Two photos from the collection of Anthony Hough. I wonder if any P-40 experts could add any new info about these two photos. Especially the one with two "kill" markings.

| Quoting from "Air to Air" by Chris Rudge, Steven Westerby advises... The picture is of F/Lt Robert Hamish (Jim) Balfour photographed at Barakoma airstrip. On 22 November 1943, he claimed to have destroyed one A6M and shared the destruction of another Zeke with F/O Clive Highet. The two Japanese flags painted on the side of the aircraft (P-40N NZ3155/50) were probably for the two Zekes claimed by F/O Leonard Rayner on 1 November 1943 (Photo, Anthony Hough collection) |
