The Ikarus IK-2 began as an indigenous Yugoslavian private venture in 1932, with 12 production aircraft in service by 1939. Some remained in captured Croatian use until 1942.
This is a delightful and thoughtfully engineered kit. It is very crisply moulded with almost wafer-thin attachments to the casting blocks. The cockpit interior provides ample detail for the scale, and the rest of the kit fits together with minimal fuss. A very sensible approach provides a straightforward way to assemble the rather complex wing and undercarriage struts. The decals were superb, and reflect the overall quality of the kit.
