I interviewed Ron Watts twice, first by telephone on the 21st of September 2003, and then on the following day I met him in person at his home, where he kindly told me the story of his RNZAF career. Ron is a very charming and friendly chap, and I found him very modest about his role in the war, despite being one of the few New Zealanders to command a New Zealand squadron in the RAF. Ron has also allowed his amazing photo collection to be scanned. You can click on the smaller photos to go to another page with a bigger version.
